Qu Fan, Vice President of LZPU, and Dr LAM Tze-shan, Deputy Academic Director of the Engineering Discipline of VTC, attended the signing ceremony. Relevant teachers from the Teaching Affairs and Practical Training Administration Office and the International Exchange Department (School of International Education) participated in the event.
At the signing ceremony, Qu Fan expressed his sincere gratitude to the VTC and highly appreciated its trust in the school. He reviewed the friendly exchanges between the two sides in the past few years, pointing out that VTC has visited LZPU for inspection and exchange many times, and our teachers have also visited Hong Kong many times for exchanges. These interactions have laid a solid foundation for this signing of cooperation. Qu Fan emphasized that through this signing, the two sides will deepen cooperation, jointly explore new models of vocational education, realize resource sharing and complementary advantages, and provide students with a broader space for learning and development.
In his speech, Dr LAM emphasized that the signing of the memorandum of cooperation marks a new chapter in talent exchange and training between the two places, injects new impetus into the development of talents in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, and lays a solid foundation for non-local students to stay in Hong Kong after graduation. He expressed the hope that in the future, both sides will be able to implement diversified training programs such as joint course development based on majors and effective connection of talent training. These programs will cultivate more outstanding professionals for Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and even the whole country, build a rich reserve of professional talents, and promote the economic prosperity of Hong Kong and even the country.
This signing is the first step in the in-depth cooperation between the two sides. In the future, LZPU will carry out more cooperation programs with VTC in course construction, teacher training, student exchanges and other aspects to contribute to the high-quality development of vocational education in Guangxi and Hong Kong.
